OpenAI chat implemented. Live launch still pending.

The October 7 development checkpoint records server-side OpenAI text chat, fresh signed permission for each request, usage limits, and PHOENIX audit corrections. It reports 207 passing server tests and 1,099 passing domain tests using simulated provider responses.

These are local development results, not live OpenAI verification or independent certification. AETERNA’s AI service has not been deployed; cloud, database, login, and phone-browser checks remain open.

What the checkpoint establishes

Current provider: OpenAI only for the launch path. Gemini and other adapters are retained for later and disabled by default. Legacy voice, maps, and transcription have not been migrated.
Execution boundary: Fresh, scoped signed permission precedes each chat request. Model output remains unverified and cannot create evidence or grant authority. The signing service is separate from the model gateway.
Access plan: Visitors use application authentication and the owner’s funded server-side API access; the design does not require a visitor ChatGPT subscription. Sign-in alone does not grant model access. Enrollment policy remains a launch decision.
Source boundary: The checkpoint examines the recovered October 1 archive and subsequent local changes. It does not establish equality with the current GitHub or AI Studio source head.
Next verification: Reconcile the source head; verify the isolated issuer, live cloud permissions, named database, replay and audit persistence, spending limits, and a bounded live response before release.

Human-governed companion architecture

Samara's ambient voice design uses nine stages from audio input to response execution, with silence as the default. The public phone-friendly website offers journaling, check-ins, system mapping, grounding, and soundscapes. Live AI chat and voice are not available yet. It does not implement the full ambient voice pipeline.
